Shanghai Symphony Concert

On Friday, 28 August 2015, the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations hosted a concert to commemorate the founding of the United Nations and the end of the Second World War.

Organized with the support of the Department of Public Information, the concert featured the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, one of the oldest and best-known ensembles of its kind in Asia.

Highlights of the event included performances by violin soloist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Maxim Vengerov and 12-year old piano prodigy Serena Wang.
