Tickets for NGO Representatives for the General Assembly

Due to the number of high-level events and increased security arrangements, the United Nations Headquarters (and the surrounding streets) will only be accessible to UN staff and Member State delegations from 20 to 30 September 2019.
 
Representatives of civil society organizations or NGOs in possession of regular, annual UN Grounds Passes for UNHQ New York will not have access to (or nearby) UNHQ in New York during this period without special event passes.
 
Please note that DGC does not distribute special event tickets for any event, except for the General Debate of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (#UNGA74). More information below.
 
The Pass & ID Office will not issue any temporary or annual grounds passes from 9 September to 7 October 2019.
 
NGO access to the General Debate of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (#UNGA74)
The Civil Society Unit in DGC is pleased to inform all DGC-associated organizations that there will be tickets available for NGO Representatives to attend the General Debate of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Please note the following:

  1. The general debate is divided into two daily sessions, morning and afternoon.
  2. The Civil Society Unit will distribute 50 #UNGA tickets per day25 tickets for the morning session and 25 tickets for the afternoon session.
  3.  DGC will only issue tickets to DGC UN Grounds Pass holders. ECOSOC Grounds Pass holders are not eligible to receive a #UNGA74 ticket from DGC, even if the NGO is associated with DGC. NO EXCEPTIONS(Organizations in consultative status with ECOSOC should reach out to the NGO Branch in DESA for information on tickets available to attend the General Debate of the 74th Session of the General Assembly.   4. The Civil Society Unit will distribute the tickets on a first-come first-serve basis following the below schedule. Please note that the tickets will be distributed at the Resource Center. Representatives will need to present their UN Grounds Passes in order to retrieve their tickets. NO EXCEPTIONSOnly one ticket per organization.
