Call for Applications

The Call for Applications is now closed. Successful applicants will be identified shortly. Thank you for your interest.

Are you a young person serving as an NGO Youth Representative or leaders within non-governmental organizations/youth-led groups in association with the Department of Public Information (DPI)? This opportunity may be for you!

DPI is looking for new members for the Youth Representatives Steering Committee. The Committee will be composed of up to twenty-five (25) NGO Youth Representatives to DPI, (ages 18 to 32) currently serving in non-governmental organizations or youth-led organizations associated with and in good standing with the Department of Public Information.

Established in 2009, the DPI’s NGO Youth Representatives Programme serves as an advocacy platform to bring together young people working within and/or leading NGOs or youth organizations that are in association with DPI and focused on issues on the agenda of the United Nations.

Leveraging the high visibility and strong impact of young people at the 66th United Nations DPI/NGO Conference in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea (30 May to 1 June), DPI established the NGO Youth Representative Steering Committee in August 2016 to channel that momentum towards the strengthening of the Department’s youth platform and programmes.

Deadline for application: Friday, 5 January 2018 Youth Reps Committee
